Dr. Amy L. Scriven was born and raised right here in Stockton, just a mile from where her office stands today. In fact, she was once a young patient at this very office—an experience that helped shape her future. Though she originally dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, a visit with her childhood dentist, Dr. Kellen, inspired her to pursue a career in dentistry instead. Years later, she now leads the very same practice with warmth, skill, and dedication.
A proud graduate of Lincoln High School (where she was valedictorian), Dr. Scriven went on to earn her undergraduate degree from Yale University, where she also served as captain of the softball team. She later earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco.
Today, Dr. Scriven blends advanced training with a gentle, thoughtful approach that makes patients of all ages feel at ease. Whether she’s helping a nervous child through their first visit or restoring a smile for a long-time patient, she brings the same calm, caring presence to every appointment.
Dr. Amy L. Scriven is proud to be raising her own family in Stockton while serving yours. She’s not just your dentist—she’s your neighbor.
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Scriven stays busy with her husband and son, cheering on local sports, and playing the violin and piano. A lifelong athlete, she also played soccer, volleyball, and softball growing up—and captained her high school and college softball teams.
Dr. Scriven is also a trained handler for Rahab, a beloved comfort dog who occasionally visits the office to help patients feel relaxed and supported.
Dr. Scriven is deeply committed to staying at the forefront of dental education and patient care. She’s completed over 15 years of continuing education through Spear Education, where she’s also a Faculty Club Member, and has trained with the LA Institute of Clinical Dentistry.
